E06: Experience Javascript with CodeAcademy, Parts 1-5

In this experience, you will start getting familiar with the syntax of Javascript by practicing the creation of simple Javascript code.

First, sign up for an account on CodeAcademy.

Next, complete the first five parts of the Javascript track on CodeAcademy:

1. Introduction to Javascript
2. Functions
3. For loops in Javascript
4. While loops in Javascript
5. Control flow

The pace is a little slow at times, but just slog through it even if you have prior experience in Javascript. CodeAcademy estimates 10 hours for the whole course, and these first five modules take you 53% of the way through, so leave yourself about five hours for this experience.
